What We Do
Vehicle Operations Manufacturing Engineering (VOME)
Responsible for the planning, procurement, installation, capability and launch of state-of-the-art manufacturing systems to produce new model vehicles in manufacturing plants. VOME engineers lead projects from program kickoff through design, test and launch phases until mass production begins.
Responsible for the planning, procurement, installation, capability and launch of manufacturing systems in stamping manufacturing plants. Stamping engineers lead projects to ensure the successful delivery and sustainability of presses and dies that produce aluminum and steel panels for new model vehicles.
Powertrain Manufacturing Engineering (PTME)
Responsible for the planning, procurement, installation, capability and launch of state-of-the-art manufacturing systems to produce powertrains and related components in manufacturing plants. PTME engineers lead projects from program kickoff, through design, test and launch phases until mass production begins.
Material Planning and Logistics (MP&L)
Coordinates production processes and optimizes the global supply chain by enabling the synchronous flow of information and material. MP&L manages and communicates key information such as release requirements, engineering changes, operating patterns, shipping routes and in-transit parts follow-up.
Responsible for leading the day-to-day engineering and workforce operations to assemble and distribute Ford Vehicles globally. Plant operation employees ensure seamless production on the frontlines of 65 plants worldwide, including stamping, engine, transmission and vehicle assembly plants.

Job Description & Qualifications:
The hourly rated positions available at Ford Motor Company manufacturing facilities are for vehicle or vehicle component assembly. A production worker is required to assemble the vehicle or component part in a predefined order, using the materials and tools provided. These positions may require the selection, manipulation, attachment of parts onto the vehicle or component using power or hand tools, hoists, or other equipment and machinery.
We are looking for motivated individuals with the ability and willingness to work in a team environment. These positions include maintaining and promoting as safe work environment, helping others and treating co-workers with dignity and respect regardless of personal differences, and accepting and following instructions and requests from leadership.
Other job requirements include the willingness and ability to learn and follow safety rules and procedures, work on any assigned schedule, change shifts periodically, work more than 8 hours per day and/or work overtime while maintaining good attendance. There may be intervals when full time hours are available and/or required.
The ability to perform manual labor, standing and walking much of the time, and with a certain amount of manual dexterity (the ability to pick up, handle, and manipulate) parts and materials quickly and accurately. Use hand, power tools, or scanners to install parts on vehicles or vehicle components or locating and obtaining parts for customer orders.
Must be able to maneuver into, around, and about vehicles or components on an assembly line, or warehouse when performing stock keeping duties. Tasks may require a certain amount of reaching, twisting, bending, and use of a PMHV or hilo.
The ability to learn, remember, and maintain pace of steps involved in performing a job after instruction, training, and familiarization with the tasks. Ability and willingness to understand and follow instructions, both oral or in writing.
The ability to perceive differences in details, when inspecting parts or work performed, checking for defects or quality issues, or when distinguishing various parts/components by identification number or code.
A pre-employment assessment and drug screen are required.

Generally 8 to 10 hours per day and up to three days per week.
- Company provided premium coverage for Hospital-Surgical-Medical for the employee, commencing the 90th day after hire.
